ham orchards

Ham Orchards, started in 1979 by Dale and Judy Ham on just 23 acres, has grown into a full fledged 100 acre farm. Starting with a simple roadside fruit stand, the peaches were so popular that it quickly had to be moved onto the property and a storefront built. Since then, it has been expanded several times to accommodate the growing crowds at this much-loved destination. The store now carries a variety of jams, ice cream, cider, coffee, fudge, and, of course, peaches. A barbecue restaurant was also added for shoppers to enjoy. I highly recommend the peach pulled pork. It’s so good that putting sauce on top would be a crime. The lines are very long on weekends, so be sure to get there early. The staff are extremely friendly and quick to help, making the food lines go by quickly. There’s also a large pavilion for shoppers to eat and live music on the weekends. I personally loved the wooden rocking chairs looking out over the blackberry fields, where you can pick your own fruit during the summer. This farm is a great stop for your summer bucket list.
