Shoemaker & hardt book fair

Today was my first book fair, and the Shoemaker & Hardt event certainly didn’t disappoint. The large coffee shop hosted wall-to-wall goods from local honey, soap, and candles to soup mixes and gifts. A great spot for hanging out with friends and playing board games while milling around the shop. The coffee was more of a dessert-style than a morning-pickup type. They also had several flavors of ice cream and baked goods available.

The event drew lots of excited shoppers, who crowded around vendor tables to find unique book-themed gifts. Magnets, t-shirts, books, bookmarkers, and a blind date with a book were just a few of the interesting finds. I spotted a Jane Austin planter and immediately knew it was coming home with me. After making our way around the room, we headed out to see the participating shops along the street, also showcasing book-themed items. It was a fun-filled day out exploring and shopping.
