Looking to try something new, I stopped off at the Harvest Hall in Grapevine, and it did not disappoint. With an array of interesting choices, even the pickiest eater could find something great to eat here. Not one to pass up on southern food, I opted for the loaded wedge platter. A filling and flavorful meal that I would happily have again.

Arriving at the Texican hotel early, I took the opportunity to relax before getting ready for dinner later that day. The hotel has an open, relaxed vibe that welcomes weary travelers with a drink and a small credit to use in the restaurant or coffee bar. Conveniently located near the convention center, a movie theater, bars, and many restaurants, including the Toyota Music Factory, there is plenty to see and do. The hardest choice will be choosing which place to try first. If you get the chance, there are lovely gondola tours available nearby. We happened to be more spur of the moment and decided to walk around the lake and see the mustang statues instead. The area is beautifully landscaped, but rather crowded for this introvert.
The next morning, I had a delicious brisket hash and a latte while relaxing in the cool morning air. As the mini vacation came to a close, I loaded up the car and headed out.
