Taking a spontaneous girl’s trip to Broken Bow is just what this author needed to decompress after writing a first draft on a new series. More details on that to come.

We picked up a large pizza and an absurd amount of frozen wine margaritas before arriving at the beautiful cabin. Atticus was thrilled to explore the huge house while we unloaded the car. After settling in for the evening, we enjoyed our dinner and drinks in the spacious home.

The next day, we hit the trails and had a tough climb to a beautiful view of the river below.

The following day, we drove out to the lake and relaxed in the afternoon sun. Atticus learned to swim after protesting like a house cat until he realized how to paddle alongside. As the evening arrived, we explored the town, finding many new gems to check out.

As we reached our last day of the trip, we fueled up with coffee and breakfast, then headed south. Making one last stop at the Eiffel Tower of Texas.
