State Fair of Texas 2023

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and the State Fair is no different. Sprawling across Dallas, this 277-acre month-long fair is like no other. The Cotton Bowl Stadium is in the center, surrounded by dozens of attractions such as the automobile building, museums, cattle barns, a food court, craft pavilions, carnival rides and games, and a dinosaur lagoon. A large variety of food vendors line the walkways, providing just about every fried food imaginable and featuring new foods every year. There’s also lots of shopping available for anything from t-shirts, cookware, and grills to trucks. A new popular attraction for adrenaline junkies is riding in a TRX Ram truck with a professional driver that takes you through an offroading trail ending with a flying leap off a slope. The most iconic feature of the fair is undoubtedly Big Tex, a fifty-two-foot cowboy that greets visitors. Last but not least is the famous two-hundred-and-twelve-foot ferris wheel. Fairgoers will have a full day of food, fun, and activities.

With so many things to see, I recommend arriving early, wearing good walking shoes and comfortable clothes.
