Winter Park is a must-see historic town with lots to offer. Restaurants and shops line both sides of the street, with many hidden gems such as koi ponds and tucked-away gardens along the side paths. Whether you’re in the mood for ice cream, fashion, ballroom lessons, art museums, or fine dining, you’ll find something in this bustling neighborhood.
Our first stop was the famed Briarpatch restaurant. The wait was long but well worth it. I had the Southern Breakfast complete with fried tomatoes my companion was happy to take off my hands. The food was amazing, and paired with mimosas; it quickly became a new favorite.
Next, we explored the variety of shops with the local park giving it a romantic feel. I quickly found several favorites amongst handmade items and a crystal store. We spent the afternoon wandering the area and finished the day with a local ice cream shop. It was a perfect summer day.
